Kittie Reid Lake
Kittie Lake’s diverse experience in some of Central Indiana’s most well-known companies has enabled her to be part of a variety of leadership teams, styles and industries. Companies such as Mayflower Moving Company, BKD (formerly Geo. S. Olive) and Guidant Corporation have helped to shape her strong work ethic and provided her with firsthand knowledge of the need for mentoring others.
During her tenure at BKD, Kittie was part of the Financial Services Team that audited Indiana community banks and credit unions. She worked closely with bank personnel on internal audit procedures, preparing financial statements and SEC filings, quarterly and annual regulatory reporting and creation of compliance guidelines resulting from the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. She also worked in BKD’s Tax Department in filing of K-1’s and other partnership filings.
As part of Jennifer Browning Holmes’ leadership teams at Guidant, EKOS and Spectranetics, Kittie played an integral part in expense and cost training for salespeople, controlling corporate costs and creating and implementing efficient marketing strategies. Her strong customer service skills – both with internal and external customers – along with her reputation for following through – have enabled her to build strong relationships with coworkers and customers alike.
While at Spectranetics, she helped manage a $25 million P&L budget and set corporate records for cost savings both quarterly and annually. She was also one of the company’s key players in developing sound and practical expense reporting processes as well as regulatory compliance.
